Area one-act teams state bound PDF Print E-mail

Drama students from Wallace (D2-5) and Perkins County (C2-6) won their respective district one-act competitions to earn a trip to State Play Production in Kearney.
Performing the one-act version of The Greek Mythology Olympiaganza, Wallace captured first place at districts on Nov. 30 at Wauneta-Palisade High School.
Four WHS students were recognized as outstanding performers, including seniors Emily Hasenauer and John Paul Lempke and juniors Mark Jameson and Rachel Marquardt.
Speech and drama students at Wallace are instructed by Stefanie McCain.
They will compete at state Dec. 8.
Perkins County students  under the direction of one-act coach Dawnell Glunz received three first place rankings at district competition at North Platte High School for their performance of Brownstone 213 and head to state competition in Kearney on Dec. 9.
Recognized as outstanding performers were Christian Miyamoto, Trevor Lee, Tanya Metcalf, Hannah Beck, Rachel Patrick, Alyssa Young, Ashley Kemling, Elliot Carlson and Tyrone Summers.
