Health foundation board has positions available PDF Print E-mail

Two Perkins County Health Services Foundation Board of Directors appointments will be made by the County Commissioners Jan. 17.
These positions will be for three years (starting Feb. 1, 2012) and are available to persons living in Districts II and III. District II includes the middle part of the county; District III the western part and part of Grant.
Currently holding these positions are (Dist. II) Dan Wallin of Grant and (Dist. III) Diana Maupin of Venango. Maupin is completing her third consecutive term, and because of term limits will no longer be eligible for reappointment. Wallin is completing his second term and will be eligible for reappointment. Anyone from these districts is eligible for appointment by the commissioners.
Another board position is also currently available to be filled. It is “Board-Member-At-Large.” This is also for three years and is appointed by the PCHS Board. Anyone in Perkins County who is not on the PCHS or PCHSF Board is eligible. This position has been held by Nita McGreer who has moved to Big Springs.
Other board members whose terms will continue are Lori Day of Madrid, Michele Cutler of Elsie, Mary Dodson of Venango, and Kenny Wykert, Bob Cummings and Brenda Kiolbasa, all of Grant.
Anyone interested in being appointed to the board should contact the foundation office, any of the county commissioners, or the county clerk before Dec. 30.
Current commissioners are Leon Pankonin, James Deaver and Sid Colson. More information about these positions may be obtained by calling any board member or Foundation Administrator Ron Patrick (352-7285).
The foundation, organized in 1987, has steadily grown to a current net worth of about $1 million. Its main purpose is to support local health services, including the hospital, convalescent home, assisted living, home health, and medical loans and scholarships. Traditionally, PCHSF has granted over $150,000 annually to these entities.
