Five defendants are scheduled to appear in District Court in Perkins County during December for felony charges of theft.
Status hearings are set for Gabriel Kuskie, Bo Kuskie and Joshua Patten on Dec 5. Arraignment is set Dec. 5 for Adam Sigler. A status hearing is set Dec. 16 for David Keller.
Defendants, Bo E. Kuskie, 20; Joshua A. Patten, 23; and Gabriel L. Kuskie, 18, are charged with alleged theft of copper wire having a value of $6,138 belonging to Larry Walters of Venango, plus damage to Walters’ center pivot in the amount of $2,691.
They, along with defendant Adam Sigler, 21, are also charged with alleged theft of copper wire at a value of $5,413 and alleged damage of $1,915 to a center pivot belonging to Jessen Unlimited of Perkins County.
Defendants Kuskie, Kuskie and Patten face two counts of alleged theft by unlawful taking, both Class III Felonies, and two counts of alleged criminal mischief, Class IV Felonies.
The defendants appeared in District Court Oct. 28 where their status hearings were set for Dec. 5.
Defendant Sigler faces one count of alleged theft by unlawful taking, a Class III Felony and one count of alleged criminal mischief, a Class IV Felony.
The defendant waived a preliminary hearing on Nov. 3 in Keith County Court and was bound over to District Court where he will be arraigned on the charges Dec. 5.
Defendant David G. Keller, 41, has a status hearing set for Dec. 16 in District Court on a charge of alleged theft by unlawful taking, a Class III Felony.
The defendant allegedly stole scrap iron valued at more than $1,500 belonging local farmer Loren Jessen.
