Todd S. Adams, CEO, of Adams Bank & Trust is pleased to announce that changes are taking place with personnel within the bank.
Amanda (Mandy) Fanning, has joined Adams Bank & Trust as its deposit compliance officer.
Mandy is the fifth generation of her family to work in the management of the bank. She graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL) with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree with highest distinction in 2004 and a Master of Professional Accountancy (MPA) degree in 2005.
For the past six years she has worked as a Certified Public Accountant for KPMG, LLP, a US audit, tax, and advisory firm in their Lincoln, Omaha, St Louis, Mo. offices. She served as a 2008 KPMG tax fundamentals national instructor, and most recently served as a tax manager, responsible for overseeing her client engagements, coordinating with staff in the Lincoln, Omaha, and India offices, and reviewing the final work products for her primarily multi-tiered investment partnership and multi-state corporation clients.
She is a member of Chapter CL of P.E.O., the United Church of Christ, the Ogallala Hospital Advisory Board, the Nebraska Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Her husband, Nick Fanning, is a chiropractor, who is in the process of setting up his practice in Ogallala.
Vicki McPherron has been elected to the board of directors of the bank.
Vicki has been a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with McPherron, Skiles & Loop CPAs, PC, since 1980 and the managing shareholder since 1990. She is involved with providing traditional CPA services of accounting and auditing, and preparing individual, corporate partnership and fiduciary tax returns.
Vicki graduated from the University of Nebraska-Kearney with a BS in business administration; with an emphasis in accounting. She holds CPA licenses in Nebraska and Colorado. She has been a member of American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Nebraska Society of Certified Public Accountants since 1983.
Vicki is active in the North Platte community and is a member of the North Platte Chamber Hostesses, the North Platte Noon Rotary and is currently serving as treasurer of the Miss Nebraska Scholarship state board. She also currently serves on the Hospital Authority Board.
Elliott Sagehorn has been elected to the board of directors of the bank.
Mr. Sagehorn is a Certified Public Accountant who recently retired, having been a founding shareholder and vice president of McChesney, Martin, Sagehorn, PC, CPAs as well as being the managing shareholder of the Ogallala office. His primary duties as CPA were focused on auditing, preparing financial statements, tax returns and managing business.
He is a member of the Nebraska Society of Certified Public Accountants and the St. Luke’s Catholic Church. He is a former member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Elliott has been and remains active in the Ogallala community.
He has held past positions in the Optimist Club, the Ogallala Chamber of Commerce, the Community Redevelopment Authority, and the Keith County Economic Development Corporation.
He is also a member of the Knights of Columbus, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Disabled American Veterans, American Legion, Ogallala Optimist Club, and the St. Luke’s Catholic Church Finance Committee
