Travelling art show at petrified wood gallery PDF Print E-mail

The Associations of Nebraska Art Clubs (ANAC) has 40 clubs and 770 members.
A four-day art conference comprised of workshops and a judged art show is held once a year at different cities in Nebraska. Each club is given a quota of how many of their best pieces of art may be entered at conference.
In Columbus 2011 there were 351 entries. This year the judge was Don Andrews, a nationally known artist, workshop instructor and author from Fairhope, Ala. He chose 25 pieces to receive “Certificate of Excellence” awards, including a “Best of Show.”
This group of award winning pieces is called “The ANAC Travel Show: and is traveling around the state to 18 host towns.
The Art Society of Ogallala is sponsoring the ANAC Travel Show at the Petrified Wood Gallery, 418 East 1st St. in Ogallala Oct. 24 – Nov. 12.
The gallery is open Mon.–Sat., 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. The phone number is 308-284-9996.
The travel show give many people throughout the state a chance to see some of Nebraska’s best creative art.
