Signup for 2010 SURE has been announced: SURE (Supplemental Revenue Assistance Payments) is available to eligible producers on:
• Farms in counties with Secretarial disaster declarations, including contiguous counties, that have incurred at least a 10 percent crop production or quality loss, or both, on all crops grown by a producer nationwide, except grazed crops
• Farms in which, for the crop year, the actual production on the farm because of disaster-related conditions is 50 percent or less than normal production of the farm.
If you had a 50 percent production loss on your farm in 2010, please call the office so a workbook can be run to see if you qualify.
Signup for the SURE Program for 2010 crop losses will begin Nov. 14, 2011 and end June 1, 2012.
2012 DCP and ACRE Enrollment will begin on Jan. 23, 2012. This activity was begun in previous years on Oct. 1, but since the 2008 Farm Bill stipulates that there will not be any advance direct payments for DCP and ACRE the enrollment will begin on Jan. 23, 2012.
2012 ACRE elections may be made any time before June 1, 2012.
Please bring in your ACRE production for the 2011 crops harvested.
Reporting of your 2012 wheat acres will begin as soon as the software is in place.
Please call the office at 308-352-4747 and set up an appointment. We will need the planting dates and if you have already turned your acreages into your crop insurance agent, we will need to know those acreages also. The office is working on printing the maps, so as soon as software is available we can begin loading your acreage reports.
NAP Sales Closing Dates:
Dec. 1, 2011 for Perennial Crops
We urge producers who want to purchase coverage through the Noninsurable Crop Disaster Assistance Program (NAP) to do so before the Sales Closing Dates.
Perennial Crops: apples, asparagus, cherries, grapes, honey, plum, and strawberries.
NAP provides financial assistance to producers to practice risk management. This year alone has proved that natural disaster can directly affect the profitability and recovery of agricultural operations. For more information about this program, please stop into the office.
