55 units collected at recent bloodmobile PDF Print E-mail

The Grant Red Cross Bloodmobile drive was held at New Life Fellowship Church on Friday, Sept. 23. There were 55 units donated, just five short of the 60-unit goal. It was a good turnout considering how busy the farming community is right now.
The following donors received gallon pins: Anonymous (three gallon), Janet Beck (one gallon), Debbie Engel (one gallon), anonymous (one gallon). Special recognition went to Rosie Barry who received her 11-gallon pin.
The Grant Catholic ladies served lunch, and the following volunteers donated their time and resources: New Life Fellowship Church, Deb Marshall, Ellen Gillett, Jean Cochran, Marilyn Holscher, Pat Schroder, Rosie Barry, Carolyn McArtor, Karon Pankonin, Lynda Forney, Lois Jones, Merle and Hazel Gimeson and members of the Grant Lions Club including Ron Cochran, Jerry McArtor, Leland Thomas and Ted Tietjen. Cathy Carman, Red Cross donor recruitment  representative from McCook, was on hand to provide assistance during the drive.
The new drive coordinators for Grant are Mary Kent, Bonnie Taubenheim and Sandy Glenn.
