With the best team score so far this year, Perkins County golfers finished in third place at the Hershey invitational Tuesday, Sept. 27.
“The younger girls really stepped up their game and played some of their best golf,” said Coach Troy Kemling.
Three players, Carra Johnson, Shania Stickley and Capri Meyer had personal bests, and Hailey Sletten was two strokes from her lowest score.
“The challenge for the girls today was to approach every shot as if it was going to be their best shot of the day,” said Kemling. “This positive approach helped several girls to put up their lowest numbers.”
Senior Janet Kuskie was feeling under the weather, and this made her mental game much more difficult. She was unable to achieve a spot in the top 10.
