Great Plains Communications’ customers will be able to watch the University of Nebraska at Lincoln’s first and second football games of the 2011 season on the Big Ten Network.  
A full schedule with air dates and channel listings can be found at http://www.gpcom.com/big-ten-network.  This schedule will be updated throughout the season with information specifically for Great Plains Communications’ customers.
The announcement that the games are to be aired on the Big Ten Network was made on Aug. 29, 2011.  The first Husker game will air at 2:30 p.m. CT.  The second game will air at 6 p.m. CT.
The Big Ten Network airs on channel 60 and the BTN HD airs on 521.
Airing Big 10 Conference content 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, the Big 10 Network shows more than 350 live sporting events each year including about 40 football games, 105 men’s basketball games and dozens of Big 10 Championship games.  
In the 2008 football season 86 out of 88 Big 10 football games were nationally televised, according to the Big 10 Network website.  The Big XII had approximately 70 percent of their games televised nationally.
