Living history on tap at Fort Kearny Park |

Fort Kearny State Historical Park will host a Labor Day weekend of living history Sept. 3-5, according to the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission. There will be a variety of demonstrations, including wood carving, in the soldiers’ camp, from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. (CT)on Sept. 3-4 and 9 a.m.-2 p.m. on Sept. 5. A cannon firing is scheduled for 2 p.m. each day. A park entry permit is required and may be purchased at the park. Call the park at 308-865-5305 for more information.
