Residents can play a big role in supporting Perkins County’s 125th anniversary coming in 2012.
Souvenir stock certificates are being sold for $10 each as a fundraising effort so the anniversary committee can begin planning events and purchasing novelties for next year’s celebration.
Everyone can be a part of this fundraising by purchasing as many certificates as they’d like. Some businesses, for example, purchase them to honor the number of employees they have; individuals purchase them as “stockholders” in the county. The quasquicentennial celebration will be a part of fair week next year.
Any assistance given to the planning committee through purchase of the certificates will help in putting together memorable events that everyone can be a part of.
