With 4th of July just a month away, it’s time to begin fundraising efforts for the annual display put on by the Grant Volunteer Fire Department and Perkins County Chamber.
The light show will follow a full day of activities at Grant City Park on Monday, July 4. Events will include something for all ages.
With a $6,600 budget, this year’s fireworks display will follow tradition as being one of the grandest in the region—but public input is needed to help make that possible. Chairing the fundraising effort is Fire Chief Don Softley.
Donations will be accepted at any bank in Perkins County, or at The Barber Pole in Grant.
Names of donors and the size of the shell their donation will purchase will be published in upcoming issues.
The shell sizes include: $10 and under—three inch shell; $11-$20—four inch shell; $21-49—five inch shell; $50-99—multi shot box; $100 and up—finalé.
