By Jan Rahn Managing Editor Finishing with 10 points, the Perkins County Plainsmen boys track team returned from state with three placings. They were among five teams to finish with 10 points during the Nebraska State Track and Field Meet held in Omaha May 20-21. Rafael Mora medaled in fifth place in the 400. Michael York brought home a seventh place medal in the 300 hurdles. The 4x100 relay team captured fifth. Team members are Mora, Quinton Hite, Brody Prante and Matthew Cullen. Winning the Class C boys title was Hastings St. Cecilia with 42 points. On the girls side, Debbie Dahlkoetter medaled with her sixth place finish in the discus with a throw of 116’5”. Although Ashley Kemling didn’t place in either of her events, she broke her school record in both the 800 meter and 1,600 meter runs. The Lady Plainsmen earned three points.
