Five Wildcats made the trip
to compete in six events at last week’s State Track and Field Meet held at Omaha’s Burke Stadium. During the rain on Friday, Sean May advanced to the finals in all three of his individual events, the 100, 200, and 400.
On Saturday, May placed seventh in the 100, eighth in the 200, and third  in the 400, running right at his personal best time.
The boys 400 Meter Relay team of May, Lane Swedberg, Landon Swedberg, and Shawn Christensen placed fifth and Shanice Harris broke the school record in the shot put with her personal best throw of 35’3”.
Harris finished in 9th place, one-half inch out of the medals. These athletes competed in six events, brought home medals in four, and set a school record in another.  Congratulations to these athletes on a great track season!
In the final boys team scores, Bertrand repeated as Class D champions with 59 points.  Lindsay Holy Family won the girls championship in Class D for the third year in a row with 72 points.
