Wallace students earn RPAC ACT awards PDF Print E-mail

The Republican Plains Activity Conference annually recognizes member schools seniors for earning a high composite score on the ACT college admissions exam. The ACT exam consists of tests in English, math, reading and science. Each test is scored on a scale of 1-36. A student’s composite score is the average of the four scores. The criteria for earning a position on the three honored groups is:
• all students listed are in the 12th Grade
• award level is based on ACT composite score with the following levels:
Gold medal—awarded to a student achieving a score of 29 or higher
Silver medal—awarded to a student achieving a score of 27 or 28
Bronze medal—awarded to a student achieving a score of 24, 25 or 26    
Wallace High School students recognized were: gold medal winner, Shanice Harris, daughter of Scott and Deb Harris; silver medal winner, Ryan Sowle, son of Wayne Sowle and Cherie Sowle; bronze medal winners, Sean May, son of Jim and Mary May and Lane Swedberg, son of Ralph and LaDonna Swedberg.
