Motorcycle Safety Day to be held April 30 in Imperial PDF Print E-mail

Lynn Rinehard, director of the Frenchman Valley Riders Chapter W, announced that a Morotcycle Safety Day will be held in Imperial on Saturday, April 30.
Topic to be covered include motorcycle history, helmet information, insurance compared on riders’ needs, inspections, group riding, stopping distances, truckers’ blind spots, information for c0-riders and general safety issues.
An obstacle course will be set up for riders to practice their skills. First responders will review tips on the dos and don’ts at a motorcycle accident scene.
The event will be held at the Chase County Schools’ parking lot, south of the school on East 9th st.
Registration is from 8:30 to 9 a.m. The Safety Day is expected to conclude aroung 1 p.m. The cost is $20.
Participants need to bring a good operating motorcycle, boots, long-sleeved shirt or jacket, gloves, helmet and insurance card.
