The North Platte Community College music and art departments will present a free spring concert and art showing at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 3, at McDonald-Belton Theater.
The art showing will feature works of NPCC students under the direction of Art Instructor Dik Haneline.
The choir will sing a medley of songs ranging from “The Chorus” (vois sur ton chemin) to a stirring arrangement of “The Battle Hymn of the Republic.” The band will play several pieces of music featuring a traditional arrangement of Jimmy Buffett’s “Margaritaville” to the popular drum feature of “Wipe Out.”
The concert will feature several soloists concluding with the choir, band and audience participation.
The choir is directed by Elizabeth Peters, with Gayle Lawson as the accompanist. The band is directed by Virgil French. This will be French’s last concert before his retirement.

The evening will conclude with refreshments.
