Defendants face theft charges PDF Print E-mail

• A telephone hearing for defendant Joshua D. Waterman, 20, was held April 5 before District Court Judge Donald E. Rowlands.  
The telephonic hearing was held in the Keith County Courtroom with telephonic presence of Deputy Perkins County Attorney Joel Phillips and defendant’s counsel, Robert S. Harvoy to determine status of the case.
Judge Rowlands continued the case to Monday, June 13, in Perkins County District Court. More evidence will be presented and a date for trial possibly set.
The defendant is charged with five counts of alleged theft by unlawful taking, two of which are Class IV Felonies, two charges are Class III Felonies, and one charge is a Class I Misdemeanor.
• William A. Rogers, 19, waived his right to a preliminary hearing before Perkins County Judge Edward D. Steenberg  on April 6, and was bound over to District Court on three charges:  Alleged Theft by Unlawful Taking, a Class Class III Felony; alleged Theft by Unlawful Taking, a Class I Misdemeanor, and alleged Theft by Unlawful Taking, a Class IV Felony.
Rogers is represented by Attorney Gary Krajewski of Ogallala.
Representing the state of Nebraska is Perkins County Deputy Attorney Joel Phillips.
A district court date is pending.
