York chosen as January Senior of the Month PDF Print E-mail

Michael York, a senior at Perkins County High School, has been selected as Senior of the Month for January 2011.
York has been involved in FFA, Perkins County Youth Council, National Honor Society, mock trial and held the class office of secretary as a freshman.
He has been a participant in football, basketball and track, all four years.
Chorus, band, marching band and jazz band are also included in the activities York has participated in during high school.
He has also been active in one act plays, spring plays and musicals while at PCHS.
In community service, York has participated in coaching youth basketball and t-ball, umpiring baseball and softball, bingo at Westview, youth basketball camp, painting at the fairgrounds and several Perkins County Youth Council projects.
For the past four years, York has been employed as a hired hand by an area rancher.
Presently, York is undecided about his post-graduation plans, but has decided to major in physical education, and participate in collegiate sports.
For being selected Senior of the Month, York’s picture will hang in the lobby of Pinnacle Bank in Grant and he will be eligible for a scholarship awarded at the end of the school year.
The Student of the Month and scholarship program are sponsored by Pinnacle Bank of Grant and members of the community.
