After a big win over Imperial on Thursday night, the Plainsmen girls came home to host the Wauneta-Palisade girls and came up on the short end of a 51-44 contest in their last game before the SPVA tournament that will be played in North Platte at NPCC.

The Lady Plainsmen looked like they were going to start right where they left off on Thursday night as they jumped out to a 12-2 lead at the end of the first quarter vs Wa/Pa. But the baskets became hard to come by and the Lady Broncos started to warm up. At the half time break, the Lady Plainsmen found themselves down 22-20.

Their offensive woes continued in the third quarter and the Broncos put up10 more and held the Plainsmen to single digits with eight.

The Plainsmen did outscore the Broncos 19-16 in the last period, but the 30-16 gap in the second and third quarters doomed the Ladies to a defeat.

The Broncos had a trio of ladies in double figures for the evening with Bethany Riener hitting for 15, Sheyla Christner for 12, and Emma Skelton for 11.

The Bronco girls hit 11 two-pointers, five three pointers and went 14 for 23 from the line for their 51 points.

The Plainsmen only could muster one girl in double figures and that was Tanya Metcalf who picked up 15 points. The Lady Plainsmen had 13 two pointers, one three-pointer and went 15 of 23 from the line.
