The Elsie/Madrid community blood drive held Dec. 21 surpassed its goal, according to coordinators Michele Cutler and Rosalie Curtis.

The meal and a variety of cookies and Christmas treats were served by the Elsie United Methodist Women.

Door prizes were given throughout the day. The following lucky donors received an early Christmas gift: Dianna McCleary, Bob McCormick, Carol Robertson, Alan Haenfler and Amy Robertson.

Receiving pins were Roger Tjaden, eight gallons; Lazette Knoll, three gallons and Tami Cook, one gallon.

Volunteers included Julie Johnson, Debi Johnson, Amy Robertson, John Cutler and Chad Cutler.

The next Elsie/Madrid blood drive will be March 1.
