|Speaker inspires at Christian women’s meeting|
A very inspiring talk by Sandi Sipp kept the women’s rapt attention at the Grant Christian Women’s Club meeting Saturday, Dec. 18.
With humor and candor the speaker told of her struggles to find the peace of mind of knowing she had eternal salvation.
There were chuckles from the audience as she described her efforts to impress a pastor with a list of all the good things she had done, thinking that her salvation depended on her being a good person.
Through the prayer of others and a pastor’s counseling with the book of Romans she finally found the answer she was seeking.
Beautiful Christmas music by Jeannie Gaar and Kay Softley and a delicious chocolate dessert added to the enjoyment of the morning.
The Christian Women’s Club is a non-denominational organization open to all women. According to Wanda Poppe and Rochelle Humphrey the next meeting will be in Wallace on Jan. 15 and the February meeting will be in Grant on the 19th.
