|Dahlkoetter is December Senior of the Month|
Debbie Dahlkoetter has been selected December’s Senior of the Month.
She is the daughter of Earl and Deb Dahlkoetter of rural Grant, and a senior at Perkins County High School.
Dahlkoetter has enjoyed many accomplishments throughout her four years of high school.
She has been an FCCLA member, and a member of Perkins County Youth Council.
She has been involved in cheerleading, track, volleyball and basketball.
As a music student, she has participated in both band and chorus, making the UNK Honor Choir and All-State Chorus.
In drama, she has been involved in several musicals and plays. In addition, she has participated in competitive speech and swing choir.
She is a member of National Honor Society.
For community service, Dahlkoetter has volunteered at AWANA, dinner theaters, FFA banquets, class reunions and the senior center. She has Christmas caroled and performed at Zion Lutheran Church, picked up food for the food pantry, and mows at Trinity Lutheran Church. She is also involved in the Adrian Smith Youth Council.
She has been employed at Westview Retirement Community since she was a freshman.
After graduation, Dahlkoetter plans to enroll in a physical therapy assistant program, and is in the process of deciding on a school.
She hopes to eventually find employment in a small community similar to Grant.
For being selected Senior of the Month, Dahlkoetter’s picture will hang in the lobby of Pinnacle Bank in Grant and she will be eligible for a scholarship awarded at the end of the school year.
The Student of the Month and scholarship program are sponsored by Pinnacle Bank of Grant and members of the community.
