Defendant arraigned on theft charges PDF Print E-mail

Joshua D. Waterman, 19, was arraigned in Perkins County Court on Wednesday, Dec. 8, on five counts of alleged theft.

Judge Edward D. Steenburg set a preliminary hearing for Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2011 and assigned Attorney George Zeilinger as counsel for the defendant.

The defendant was ordered to sign a personal recognizance bond to appear before the court in January.

Deputy Perkins County Attorney Joel W. Phillips represents the state of Nebraska in the following charges of alleged theft in the total amount of $8,425.82 from Sargent Irrigation, Grant:

Aug. 2: Alleged theft of brass impellers with a value of $675.96, a Class IV Felony.

Aug. 15: Alleged theft of brass impellers with a value of $2,389.50, a Class III Felony.

Aug. 24: Alleged theft of brass impellers with a value of $300.70, a Class I Misdemeanor.

Nov. 8: Alleged theft of brass impellers with a value of $887.40, a Class IV Felony.

Nov. 29: Alleged theft of brass impellers with a value of $4,172.26, a Class III Felony.
