|College Notes...Carlson awarded scholarship|
Evan Carlson, a student at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln majoring in mechanized systems management, is the recipient of the Holling Memorial Fund in the amount of $750.
Carlson is an MSYM Club member and plans to pursue a career in the field of equipment testing.
He is the son of Mike and Alyson Carlson of Grant.
The Holling Memorial Fund was established in 1973 by Mr. John Holling of Chevy Chase, Md., in honor of his mother and father.
Holling was a member of the graduating class of 1912. He has provided a gift of stocks to the foundation for the establishment of this fund. Half of the income is divided among the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources where his brother Gustave R. Holling attended in the early 1900s and the College of Engineering and Technology where he received his degree in electrical engineering.
