|Hospital bed project complete|
Last week, the fundraiser to purchase five new electric hospital beds was completed. This happened when Dan and Evelyn Gengenbach and Pam Holm donated to the project.
According to Ron Patrick, administrator of the Perkins County Health Services Foundation, the $22,660 fundraiser was supported by 31 donors.
The project began June 4 and was completed on Aug. 23.
Hospital Director of Nursing, Dana McArtor, says that the new beds replace five older ones, which had been procured from a regional hospital several years ago.
The old ones served their purpose, but it was time to replace them.
The new ones are much more patient and staff-friendly than those replaced.
