Kids get to compete too PDF Print E-mail

There are lots of things scheduled at the 2010 Perkins County Fair, but as the week winds down, kids ages 18 and under can get revved up.

Several events on the fair schedule target the younger set on Friday, July 30:

• 2 p.m. Kids races

• 2 p.m. Trap shoot (also for adults)

• 3 p.m. Tractor pedal pull

• 3 p.m. Mud volleyball

• 5:30 Goat milking contest (child/adult team)

• 6 p.m. Mutton Bustin’/junior rodeo

The Mutton Bustin’ and junior rodeo take place in the arena Friday evening.

In the rodeo, participants can compete for prizes in poles and barrels, calf and steer riding.

Round up the family, especially youngsters with a competitive spirit, and plan to spend the afternoon and evening at the Perkins County Fair next Friday.
