|Grant City council meeting carries light summer agenda|
By Jan Rahn
Dog licensing and weed nuisance ordinances were passed by Grant City Council during their regular meeting Tuesday, July 13.
In the mayor’s absence, and under the direction of Council President Darrell Pierce, readings were held on two other ordinances—truck parking and zoning map.
The council took no action on new business requests to connect to the sewer utility.
As summer progresses, the city is continuing to spray for mosquitoes and work on the budget, said City Superintendent Tyson McGreer.
Council gave permission to continue the process of abatement of property located at 228 Logan. The action comes as a result of non-compliance by the resident to clean up the property declared a nuisance.
