Everyone has a voice when it comes to honoring community  patrons during the 2010 Perkins County Fair.

Nomination letters are needed for selection of a Grand Marshal to lead the parade and for an individual who will be designated as Perkins County’s Good Neighbor.

The Grand Marshal and Good Neighbor have a prominent place in the parade, which will be held Saturday morning, July 31. Make plans to enjoy events planned throughout fair week, July 26-31, leading up to the parade.

The deadlines for the two honorees of Grand Marshal and Good Neighbor are:

Grand Marshal

Please submit a letter of nomination for a Grand Marshal by Thursday (today) July 15 to Perkins County Chamber, Box 767, Grant NE 69140 or drop it off at the Midwest building, 104 Washington.

If you can’t make it to Grant to drop off a letter on July 15, or won’t get a letter in the mail in time, a courtesy phone call would be appreciated to Chamber President Cindy Salsman at  308-352-4356 so it is expected.

Good Neighbor

The deadline for Good Neighbor nominations is Monday, July 19. A form appears in this issue for convenience, or a letter may sent.

Either can be mailed, dropped off, faxed or emailed to: The Grant Tribune-Sentinel, 327 Central Ave., P.O. Box 67, Grant NE 69140, fax: 308-352-4101, email: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
