|Grain rescue equipment acquired with donated funds|
New rescue equipment was recently purchased by the Grant Volunteer Fire Department thanks to generous donations from entities supporting grain rescue. Frenchman Valley Co-op and Scoular Company split the cost of the equipment. Cenex matched Frenchman’s portion of the donation. Ty Knispel of Scoular (left) and Gary Talich of Frenchman Valley (right) presented the funds and got to check out the new equipment last week, joining Fire Captain/President Bryan Kroeker (second from left), Fire Chief Don Softley (inside) and Senior Fire Captain Rick Dreiling. The excess funds will be put toward ropes and other extraction equipment to be used by the fire department for grain rescue. (Photo by Jan Rahn)
