|Republican Basin water task force members named|

Six people appointed to serve on the 22-member Republican Basin water task force will come from within the bounds of the Upper Republican Natural Resources District (URNRD).
Gov. Dave Heineman appointed URNRD board members Tom Terryberry of Imperial and Dean Large of Wauneta among the eight selected from the four NRD districts in the basin.
Chad Yaw of Imperial was appointed as a city representative.Jim Chism of Imperial, manager of Frenchman Valley Coop, was one of two representatives from the agri-business sector named to the task force.
Shad Stamm of Benkelman, a member of the Dundy County-Stratton school board, was appointed as the lone school representative to the task force.
Dundy County commissioner Scott Ohlson of Haigler is a county representative.
The first meeting of the task force will be held in McCook June 23, with a location and time to be announced later.
