|Hasenauer sets PR at state track meet|
By Elizabeth Strand
Six Wildcats made the trip to compete at last week’s State Track and Field Meet held at Omaha’s Burke Stadium. The highlight of the meet was Josi Hasenauer’s personal best in the 3200 where she cut 10 seconds off of her time.
Even though the Wildcats didn’t bring home any medals, they competed at a high level. With Hasenauer being the lone senior on the squad, the outlook for 2011 is good. Congratulations to these athletes on a great track season!
In the final boys team scores, Bertrand won the Class D championship with 51 points, and Mullen was the state runner-up with 44.
Lindsay Holy Family repeated as the girls champions in Class D with 67 points, followed by Ansley and Bruning-Davenport-Shickley who shared runner-up honors with 49 points.
