|Poster contest offered to elementary students|
To celebrate National Home ownership Month in June, Southwest Nebraska Community Betterment Corporation, and USDA Rural Development are sponsoring a poster contest for kindergarten through fifth grade students.
Posters must contain the theme: “What My Home Means to Me” and include some representation of housing.
Entries for the poster contest will be judged in two age divisions: Kindergarten - third grade and fourth - fifth grades. Winners in each age division will receive prize sponsored by Berg Auction and Realty and Daiss Realty.
Entries will be judged on the best use of the contest theme: “What My Home Means to Me.”
Each entry must be accompanied by a registration form. Registration forms are available at Southwest Nebraska Community Betterment Corporation office located 115 W Third, Grant, Neb. or USDA Rural Housing Service located at 1202 South Cottonwood, Suite 3, North Platte. The deadline for submission is April 30.
Artwork will be judged on originality, visual impact, and artistic merit. Only original artwork will be eligible; computer generated artwork, three dimensional artwork, corporate logos and brand names are ineligible.

Winners will be announced the week of May 10. Entries will be featured during Homeownership Month in June and at various locations around town throughout the year.
