Cassie Lyon of Grant has recently achieved a lifelong dream—owning her own business—Bank Card Advantage.

Lyon became a processing agent in mid-February, offering credit card processing equipment to businesses through United Bank Card.

Creating her own hours, travelling, and having flexibility as a mother of two young children make this position ideal for Lyon.

She said her family has always been business oriented—and now she finally has her own, too.

Offering credit card processing at competitive rates, providing training in complicated situations, and offering around-the-clock customer support are some of the benefits Lyon can offer to consumers.

Running the business out of her home is the biggest personal advantage about it, she said.

Having  served as secretary for three years in the business for her father and uncle who live out of state, she has now launched into the sales end which she began in mid-February.

“I like that it gives me the ability to be with my kids, and I’m my own boss—you can’t beat that,” said Lyon about her new business.

She said she has dreamed of having her own business since she was eight years old.

Her new undertaking provides an opportunity for the family to travel together, because the card processing she offers is a nationwide service.

United Bank Card currently handles merchant accounts for over 110,000 locations and processes in excess of $9 billion annually.

Presently, a new state-of-the-art electronic cash register uniquely designed for restaurants and retail businesses is being promoted as a special offer through the company.

Lyon, who grew up in New Mexico, moved to Grant seven years ago.  She and her husband, Jon have two children, son Joshua, six, and  daughter Avah who will turn two this month.

Off to a good start in the area, Lyon already has card processing set up for a couple of businesses in Ogallala and is making contacts in Grant.

She is a new member of the Perkins County Chamber and is also a Keith County Chamber member.

Anyone interested in learning more about credit card processing, which includes free equipment when doing the processing with Lyon’s office, under United Bank Card, may contact her at 308-280-0436.
