By Jan Rahn Managing Editor Monthly reports were released by Grant City Council during their regular meeting on Feb. 9. The monthly report from the city enforcement officer, which gives a breakdown of building permits issued along with monthly reports of figures for water use and of lotto sales and payout, were released by council. Building Permits A breakdown of building permits includes: Applications filed, two; permits issued, two; cost estimate, $47,100; fees collected, $94. Water Use Gallons used during January 2010: 4,632,700. Previous month comparison: This is a decrease from December 2009 when 4,861,600 gallons were used. Previous year comparison: Gallons used during January 2009 were fewer than those used this January. There were 4,285,600 gallons of water used in January 2009. Lotto Sales/Payout During the month of January, lotto sales at DJ’s Bar and Grill totaled $16,280. Payout of $13,167 from these sales leaves a net of just over $3,110. A $4 prize remains unclaimed. |
