|Wallace speech team places first and second at area invitationals|
Sutherland had their speech invitational on Saturday, Feb. 6. Wallace placed first with 136 pts. and Paxton second with 58 pts.
The following Wallace students were medal winners:
Oral Interpretation of Drama: 1st place, Anna Griffiths, Chelsea Sowle, Taylor Nielson, Rachel Marquardt and Mark Jameson; 2nd place, Sara Rollenhagen, Annika Wickizer, Vicki Holst, Kelsey Hubbard, and Bradee Manary.
Duet: 1st place, Lane Swedberg and Josi Hasenauer; 5th place, Bradee Manary and Annika Wickizer
Entertainment: 2nd place, Lane Swedberg, 4th place, Emily Hasenauer.
Extemporaneous: 1st place, Ryan Sowle; 2nd place, Travis Woodcox; 5th place, Mark Jameson.

The Wallace speech invitational was held Friday, Jan. 16 with 15 schools in attendance. Wallace finished in second place with 88 team points, following Perkins County who scored 100. Paxton was third with 60 points.
