|H1N1 death reported in Nebraska|
The Douglas County Health Department reported an H1N1 death to the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS).
The Douglas County woman was in her 50s and had underlying health conditions.
“My thoughts are with the family,” said Dr. Joann Schaefer, Chief Medical Officer for DHHS. “It’s hard to lose a loved one, especially around this time of the year.”
“Flu activity has decreased in Nebraska, but we do want people to remain vigilant because flu can be very unpredictable and the season is far from over,” she said.
So far, there has been a total of 13 H1N1 flu deaths reported in Nebraska.
