Russ Pankonin The Imperial Republican Just in time for the holiday shop ping season, the first-ever farm toy show sponsored by the Chase County Fair will be held in Imperial Saturday, Dec. 4. The event will be staged at the 4-H exhibit hall on the fairgrounds and will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be a $2 admission charge for those attending. Fair board organizer Chad Oxford said he’s excited about the show. He said there will be at least seven toy vendors offering their selection of toys, which will focus on farm tractors, cars, trucks, NASCAR, and drag racing. In addition to children’s farm toys, he anticipates there will also be a selection of collectibles. Area implement dealers will be among the vendors, offering a wide selection of their “red” and “green” toys. Oxford said the admission fee will automatically enter entrants in a drawing for a collector tractor and other drawings.
